With 27+ years of diverse professional experience across both corporate and academic environments, AnaKarina’s career includes 16+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition and HR more broadly, such as career management, inclusive cultures, leadership development, employee engagement, team effectiveness, performance management, and organizational design.

She has held high-impact roles at premier, multibillion-dollar global technology companies, including Google Inc., Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Seagate Technology. Along with extensive background in career and leadership coaching, learning, and development, AnaKarina has spent nearly a decade in building, coaching, and leading multinational, diverse teams. While a Sr. Talent Acquisition Manager at Microsoft, AnaKarina led hiring for various engineering teams and the corporate function of HR. As an Associate Lead Recruiter at Google, AnaKarina led hiring for Google Cloud’s Professional Services, GTM Partnerships, Operations, and Marketing. She was also selected for a stretch assignment as a People Partner (i.e., Human Resources Business Partner), coaching internal clients through corporate performance and reorganization challenges.

Through her proprietary coaching and consulting practice, AnaKarina also advises senior leaders on career development, organizational design, recruiting, DEI, and change management, drawing from her background partnering with clients and colleagues across the world, including Asia, Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Canada. AnaKarina also served as a Career Consultant at Boston University and as a Career Coach at Flatiron School, coaching undergraduate, graduate, and software engineering and business students on various aspects of the job application process, salary negotiations, and professional branding. As Director of Graduate Business Career Management & Student Life, and as Assistant Director of MBA Career Services at Santa Clara University (SCU), AnaKarina redesigned the department’s portfolio of services, while coaching MBA professional students and alumni on all aspects of career management.

AnaKarina holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Washington State University, an MA in Counseling from SCU, a BS in Psychology from SCU, and a Certified Executive Coach certification from the Center for Executive Coaching. Bilingual in English and Spanish, AnaKarina enjoys guiding young professionals in building and leveraging the knowledge, tools, and strengths to become empowered “owners” of their career development.
